Green meadows, mighty mountains, pure enjoyment of nature: Summer in the Dolomites promises unforgettable landscapes and enchants with lasting impressions. Countless bike trails and guided hiking and mountain tours in South Tyrol await you. Off you go on your active holiday in the heart of the South Tyrolean mountains!

Your hiking holiday in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site

The imposing limestone mountains we know as the Dolomites were formed over 200 million years ago. In 2009, the Dolomites were added to the list of UNESCO World Natural Heritage sites, in recognition of their special beauty and geological structure. Those who visit these mountains are always drawn back. And it’s easy to see why: gentle pastures, boundless horizons, great rocky giants, pristine forests and an unspoiled natural landscape are all part of a holiday your hiking holiday at San Vigilio on Plan de Corones.

The draw of the rocky giants in San Vigilio

If climbing is your passion, your heart will soar when you see our imposing peaks. There are several rock gyms in and around San Vigilio, with varying degrees of difficulty: the NEA rock gym, the Vedla rock gym, the Pederü rock gym, the great “flagstones” of Cima Nove, and many more. Fancy a nice via ferrata? We recommend the Furcia Rossa via ferrata, the Sentiero della Pace (Peace Trail) up to Gran Fanes.
